Altar fires are placed around the campsite
|
Rye Crofts Field is the larger of the two camping areas and supports groups who are looking for the more traditional style of camping i.e. under canvas and wood fires. There are altar fires situated around the perimeter of the field with numerous trees giving shelter and some privacy from neighbouring groups.

How to find the campsite:
|
From
Shipley take the A6038 sign posted Otley & Ilkley. After crossing the River
Aire the road bears to the right. At next traffic lights (filtered) keep left
and follow the road up the hill to Baildon. At the round-a-bout go straight
ahead and you will shortly (after a cattle grid) reach the moor. Keep on this
road, down a steep hill, until the road narrows. Keep a sharp lookout for a
lane on your left, this is Sconce Lane. Follow the lane to the campsite. |
